My Estate Planning Process
Overview of the process
We get in contact and set up a time for a complimentary strategy session, either by phone or video chat. This will typically last 30-60 minutes. During this conversation, we get to know each other, and I get an overview of your family structure, finances and goals. At the end of the meeting, I give you a price quote for your all-inclusive estate plan.
When you decide to hire me, I send you some forms that will help you with the initial thought process regarding the assets you own and the individuals you want to include as part of your estate plan.
We meet in person (or virtually, your choice) for an in depth conversation about the particulars of your estate plan. I make house calls!
Over the next several weeks we have an ongoing conversation and fine tune the particulars of your plan. When your estate plan is complete, I send you a final copy for your approval.
After the plan is finalized, we meet again to sign and notarize your estate plan to make it official.
Following the creation of the trust, we “fund” your trust by placing assets (including a primary residence) into your trust.
